WHO WE ARE
Pembina Trails Voices (PTV) is an award-winning choral program based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. PTV offers an exciting choral program that values community, self-empowerment, personal growth, hard-work, and a desire and drive to participate in achieving something truly outstanding.

Offering top choral training in Winnipeg for nearly 40 years, PTV continues to shine as a music program steeped in excellence for children, youth, and young adults and the 'go-to' young people's choir for music events with professional groups like the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, the Winnipeg Singers, and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
PTV has a regular concert season in Winnipeg where performance skills are developed through regular exposure to the concert platform. PTV's concerts have attracted top professional musicians as guest and collaborating artists, giving our audience an opportunity to hear Winnipeg's top artists perform and inspiring PTV's choristers.
PTV's track record for national and international distinction is impressive. Recent national and international highlights include PTV Singers' auditioned invitation to perform at the 2020 PODIUM national choral conference in Montreal and 3rd place win at the 2019 International Choral Festival in Llangollen, Wales. Cantemus was the winner of the 2019 National Associated Music Festivals Choral Competition and 3rd place finalist in the 2019 CBC National Amateur Choir Competition.
In Winnipeg in 2022, the world premiere of Sid Robinovitch's youth oratorio JONAH was performed by PTV's three senior treble ensembles, PTV Chamber Ensemble, Cantemus and Chorale and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra with Sid Robinovitch in attendance! Upcoming seasons 2024 and 2025 have PTV choirs again performing with the city's top professional arts organizations.
At the 2024 Winnipeg Music Festival, PTV's Minnesingers won the Lord Tweedsmuir Memorial Trophy for outstanding children's community choir. In the 2023 Winnipeg Music Festival, the PTV Chamber Ensemble was the recipient of the Helga Anderson Trophy for outstanding adult choral ensemble. In 2021 and 2022, PTV's small ensembles won the Kozub Trophy for 'top music ensemble' in the Winnipeg Music Festival and the Gordon Hignell Trophy for 'outstanding vocal ensemble.

Come share the excitement! This program is for you if you dream of singing in an award-winning ensemble, working with gifted conductors, meeting other singers who share your love of singing and connecting with the vibrant music scene of Winnipeg.

ACTIVITIES
Performing Great Music:
Concerts and Tours

Performing and touring are part of the choral experience and a significant part of the PTV program. Touring offers the intense, personal and musical impact of performing together and interaction with audiences from different parts of the world.
PTV's philosophy has been to work hard and play hard during the tours. Both Chorale and Ragazzi ensembles tour every year to destinations throughout Manitoba or neighbouring provinces. Tours for these two ensembles typically last 3 days, occurring in April. Chorale and Ragazzi will embark on a city tour in the spring of 2024 with performances at the Manitoba Legislative Building and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Cantemus and Potenza ensembles have gone on more extensive tours each year, traveling internationally every other year. Destinations have included Newfoundland, Banff, Poland, Cuba, China, and most recently to England and Wales where the PTV Singers were international finalists at the International Llangollen Music Festival.
